Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Controlling the 2880 with a Berhinger FCB1010
I have both units set to midi CH 1 and went thru the steps of assigning the buttons to play, rec, new loop etc and the expression pedals to control the channel faders but still can not get anything to work. Has anyone had success interfacing these two pieces of gear? FYI the firmware chip on my FCB1010 is V2.501E
Hi,
I use a Yamaha MFC foot controller with my 2880, and soon with my all new 45000.
I have no problem, it works well, and very easy to program : 5 minutes max for basic features (as start/stop/record…), a little bit more for complex (track mute, solo, level control), but still easy.
Some other people here (many EHX looper user in France) use Berhinger FCB1010 and have no problem too.
You can read (with a French=>English translator) all our stuff here :

Hope it helps,

Do you use CC or PC way to program your FCB ?
Do you notice there can be a +1 difference in PC or CC numbers, depending of the first number the controller start (0 or 1), maybe it is why it don’t works.
EHX have been doing a very good job for midi implementation on the 2880. It is probably the best feature of the 2880, this midi implementation.
Very good idea you have to use a midi controler, rather the EHX 2880 controler. (I use the two, midi controler is 100 times powerful.
Best Regards,
Marc
