Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Connecting two EHX9500 looping stations w/ MIDI to go from looping 6-tracks to 12-tracks?
Hi everyone, first time post here so be gentle please. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
I bought a second EHX9500 looping station under the naive assumption I could simply connect the two devices together with two MIDI cables, and go from a limit of being able to loop 6-tracks to 12-tracks.
I can get both running on the same tempo using the ext. clock function, but I’m starting to think I will need additional input XLR & output TRS going into and out of the 2nd EHX9500 looping station in addition to the first?
I tried to make sense of the manual, but I’m legit partially dyslexic and have just been going around in circles…
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Midi cables don’t transmit audio signals, so yes you’d need extra cables. You can either go from the outs of your first looper into the second looper, or have a mixer with 2 or 4 outs (for stereo) to go into the loopers. A mixer at the end might be a good idea simply to get a 2 track stereo for your amp/speakers.
