    Hi Guys,

Can you please tell me something about the big box The Worm pedal? I’m almost in the verge of buying it but the reviews are kinda confusing… some say it’s good, most say it it noisy.

I’m planning to just buy for the Phaser & Wah (Filter) mode.

    Thanks!

I have heard the old one is noisy but the XO has that fixed. I am getting my XO Worm in the mail in the next couple of days and I’ll let you know!

The sound is identical and the XO is stronger and has no noise. Is there really any question?

    Thanks for the response man…

Anymore? I guess there’s no love for the Big box WORM? :(

expression pedal input on the XO makes it far better than the big box

Got the Worm yesterday. I really dig it, got some good sounds out of it quick. It seems kind of subtle though but that doesn’t bother me. Going to try and pick up the expression pedal today!

I used to have the classic chassis version. I bought it used and the only effect useful on it was the Phaser which sounded amazing! The trem was pretty descent but you had to dial in the right sound. I don’t know if my was a defect or what but I thought the autowah and vibrato sucked. I’d buy a new version for about 80 for the phaser alone.

I just got my XO Worm for $66 off eBay. I like it overall, but to me the phaser sucks compared to my $25 Behringer Vintage Phaser and the vibe doens’t come close to my Danelectro Vibe. I still really like it though and the Auto Wah is awesome!!!

It is subtle, but that’s not an oversight. Think of the TREM and VIBE settings as CLASSIC built-in amp tremolo and CLASSIC built-in amp vibrato emulators. Early tremolos and vibratos did not have a lot of depth because of the technology used to create them, but they had very desirable signature sounds.

    Agreed

I’ve been a big fan of both versions (big box, xo) for a very long time. It has a signature sonic stamp that is very warm and pleasing to my ears.
