    I think my Mel9 is wonderful. I am willing to go to extra lengths to use it. I know it needs its own isolated fast start up power supply to work properly and I use that PS. Last night at a gig the crappy little PS cord started shorting out. I managed to tape down the cord and finish the evening. Tonight I will face the same dilemma.

    I got on e-bay this morning and ordered two of the exact PS that come stock with the Mel9. I could not find them for sale on the EHX website.

    EHX; please up your game with a more durable cord, and sell them for us users. You know they are going to break!

    There is an upgrade that is used in the higher current drawing loopers.
    It has a much better cable.
    I will find the model number for you.

    Thanks for the help on my PS problem, especially on a Saturday. Unfortunately, a $50 minimum order is required.

    Update in case anyone is interested: I was very leery of any other power supply since the Mel9 needs its own. I ordered and received two. One is permanently mounted on my pedal board with Velcro. The other I take with me when I remove the Mel 9 for acoustic gigs. This should relieve stress on the mounted PS.
