So my beloved 10ish year old Clone Theory is having issues. When the effect is in chain there is a signal disruption regardless if it is engaged or not. If I toggle the switch rapidly it will usually clear up the issue. However the issue is persistent and I have isolated it to the pedal and not the input/output cables, guitar, amp, ect. I have sprayed DEoxIT into the input/output jack, the switch, and anywhere that looked suspect. This seemed to temporarily resolve the issue but that very well could’ve been a placebo as this issue is never 100% present, but present enough for it to drive me insane. This is about the extent of my troubleshooting and technical abilities, and my soldering skills are well, I’ve never had to solder anything in my life, so, poor. Purchasing a new one is not ideal as I am a poor chemistry student. Furthermore I love the simplicity of this pedal and how versatile it is with 3 modes and two knobs. It has been a mainstay on my board for 10+ years and was one of my first pedals I’ve purchased. I suspect that the switch probably needs replacing but I do not know, as that is an assumption and I have assumed wrongly before.

Also, will adjusting the trim pots inside yield anything or should I not mess with them?

TL;DR Clone Theory Cutting Out, regardless engaged or not, sprayed with magic juice, worked temporarily (maybe), suspect switch, what do now?
