Greetings,
I bought a Deluxe Electric Mistress new 2 1/2 years ago, and love it. However, last night I was going to record with it, and noticed it was making a clicking or thumping noise that seemed to be in sync with the flange rate. It was loud enough that I couldn’t use the pedal. I verified it again today. I disconnected the guitar so there was no input, and with the switch engaged, I could hear it. Without the pedal plugged into the amp, the sound wasn’t there, so it wasn’t the amp. I wrote EHX support but thought I’d post here and see if anyone else has encountered this. I’m guessing a component has failed. It’s not quite 3 years old, but I assume the warranty is just one year? I wonder if the repair cost would be more than buying a new one. And yes, I’m using the official EHX special power supply for this pedal.
Thanks,
Rob
