    I’ve seen a number of questions here about having an option on the Chill Switch to have the return and direct signals both on at the Amp output. None of them have been answered so I am asking again. The Chill Switch would be so much more useful if it was able to maintain the effect signal at the output when not engaged. For example;

    – Holding echoes/delays and reverb tails without sending more input to the effects loop (thereby creating unwanted echoes);
    – Sending a short burst to Freeze+Effects, but being able to play over that without going through the post-Freeze effects (similar to Superego).

    Given that everything is buffered by Chill Switch, could ‘always on return’ be achieved simply by connecting the loop return to the output using a Y-cable and not using the Return jack or, more radically, simply jumping/switching the ‘Return’ hot and ‘Amp’ hot together inside the unit? Does Chill Switch require something plugged into ‘Return’ to recognise it’s intended function?

    I think a ‘return always-on’ option (with level/mix control) would vastly extend the possible applications for what is already a fairly unique piece of kit.

    I’d like to add a question to this post.

    Can the Chill Switch also be used as a ‘tip to ground’ momentary switcher?

    I need a momentary switch to use with my Digitech 7.6 Time Machine for several functions such as Repeat Hold, Arm/Trigger, Record Cancel, etc.

    Being that the Chill Switch is such a versatile utilitarian tool, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

    I support the idea of having the option of both signals, send and direct, always “on” on the Chill Switch, maybe with a dry/wet control or something like that. It’s interesting too having the option of permanent/momentary switching. It would be a powerfull and versatile tool with this upgrades.
