Change forum layout colors?

Hi guys! Any plans in customizing the colors of the layout? It’s too dark for me and it gives me head aches in reading the replies…

I’ve been thinking its too dark too, and they should go with like a lighter grey or something, but then they would have to change the rest of the website to match this i think.

Honestly, I’m not generally a huge fan of white on black designs — but when I designed this site, there was a strong preference for it, so I went with that flow.

Note also that the forums are designed to match the rest of the EHX site (on most other sites, forums usually seem to be hacked on, and share no design with the rest of the site) and so I’d pretty much have to redesign the whole site.

I’ll keep this thread in mind the next time I have to make a case for black on white…

Did I mention that black backgrounds give everything that old skool DOS feel and make you feel like you’re doing super elite computer hacking stuff?

yeah, it looks nicer than on sites like UG where people post in coloured fonts and it clashes against the light grey background. That hurts my eyes.

Maybe there could be some kind of colour scheme option, keep this as the default setting as it matches the rest of the website, but allow people to select an “inverted” version?
