i just got my ehx cathedral reverb the other day and i was excited to play through all of its ambient glory.
i plugged it in and started playing it and it was fine up until i held down the infinite switch for about 10 seconds.
it just shut off and none of the LEDs lit up again.
sound was still going through but with no reverb in the mix.
( i use the BBE supa charger as my power supply and i had it set to 9v as it should be. it was plugged into input 1.)
i switched the power supply input to the 2nd one and it started working again.
did the same thing with the infinite switch and shut off again with the same results.
i am confused about how to go about solving this problem.
is anyone having the same problem?
if not, does anyone possibly know why it is crapping out?
thanks.
Input 1 may not be able to supply enough current. I don’t know what the Cathedral needs since I couldn’t find any reference in the instructions. Try one of the 2 higher current ports on the BBE.
What does the original adapter have listed for the current (mA)?
200mA
You’re definitely going to need more than the 100mA most of the BBE’s outputs supply. Try it on one of the 2 higher current outputs (5 and 6).
alright. i will give it a try when i get to my practice space. although both 5 and 6 are taken by my line 6 fm4 and dl4. thanks. i will let you know if it works.
At the very least, always try the original adapter before thinking there’s a problem.
it worked when i changed the input to the higher ma input. thanks.
i bought the pedal used so it didnt come with an adaptor.
or else i would’ve looked at the adapter for the specs.

The important thing is, we figured it out.
