My Cathedral used to work perfectly with it’s own dedicated power supply. However, all of a sudden it will no longer work, but it does pass signal when in true bypass. None of the LED indicators for reverb mode are lighting up, I’ve tried another fresh dedicated power supply with the same spec and still nothing is working.
However, when connected to a generic 9V pedal power distributor, everything still lights up and works as expected, but there is a nasty hum on the signal. I’ve always known this pedal didn’t react well to sharing power, which is why I always use a dedicated power supply for it in my setup.
So I know the unit is not totally broken and nor is the power supply.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Are you using the EHX supply?
Thanks for the quick reply.
I am using a 9.6VDC 200mA Boss adapter as the manual says it “accepts Boss style AC adapters”. It has worked perfectly with this adapter until now. I also tried another Boss adapter to eliminate the chance that the first adapter had failed.
