Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Cathedral adding slight volume boost and treble
Hey guys! I have been happily using my cathedral for a few months now but never noticed the slight volume and treble boost it is adding. The volume boost is very slight, but even with the mix at zero it is adding a noticeable amount of high end to my signal, particularly with an overdrive/fuzz before it. Any one else notice this??? It is kindof screwing with my tone when recording…
why not record without it and just use a VST or DX reverb if it’s messing with you? or reamp it- record direct from BEFORE the cathedral and then play that back into the rest of your signal chain/amp, if your ‘verb isn’t the last thing, and record the output.
Well I am mostly curious if this is a normal occurance or not. If my unit is faulty I certainly am not going to do a huge run around to get it to work, I will just send it in to EHX. If the units are all this way, I will look for a solution that works for me. Thanks for the recommendation though! Sadly I use the cathedral as an ambient effect alot of the time, not just a light reverb so it has to be on when I am recording so I can be aware of how it’s reacting, I also find it to be part of my sound and would prefer it over a VST.
