Hi, I’ve had the Canyon for a couple of days and the shimmer setting was great, worked perfectly and sounded amazing. However I just plugged in and no matter what setting I get an out of tune dip in the tone. No setting stops it in both modes. It has definitely changed since I first got it as I hadn’t moved the controls from one session to the other but now it is unusable.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
January 1, 2018 at 3:36 am #123440EHX STAFFKeymasterAre you in secondary mode?
January 1, 2018 at 1:05 pm #123446baafordParticipantNo. First thing I checked. Been right through the instructions and erased any presets back to factory. I still keep getting an out of tune dip in the shimmer that wasn’t there before and has made the effect unusable where before it was great.

1. Select Shimmer.
2. Put “LEVEL” at 12:00 to blend in the original sound and the effect.
3. Select the shortest “DELAY” and the least “FEEDBACK”, that is all the way counterclockwise on both. This will eliminate confusion of the sound cause by the repeats.
4. Press and hold the “TAP DIVIDE” button to go into Secondary mode. You should see the light start flashing.
5. Turn the “DELAY” knob to the right a bit, then all the way to the left again to set the amount of shimmer to a minimum.
6. Turn the “FEEDBACK” knob to the right a bit, then all the way to the left again. Now start turning the “FEEDBACK” knob while playing to see if it’s affecting the detuning. All the way to the left should be no detuning. All the way to the right should be a fairly deep detuning. You can’t change the rate of the oscillation. You can only change the depth of the oscillation.
Is the FEEDBACK knob having ANY effect in Secondary mode?

March 31, 2019 at 10:01 pm #125036uushaggyMemberI’m having problems trying to reset mode in Shimmer. No matter what I do it sounds like a vibrato and I cannot make it change.
Also noticed that it happens in Oct too. I am also noticing a static artifact in the sound on Oct and Shim.
I cannot disable either effect with footswitch either. Defective? Should I return?
It worked when i first got it but not anymore. Any ideas?

Thanks,
