A vibrato is a change in [strong]pitch[/strong]. In every instance where the Canyon Delay Looper “modulates” the signal, it’s doing a vibrato. In other words, it’s modulating the pitch, not the volume, not the phase. It’s modulating pitch. The MOD (modulated) delay modulates the pitch of the repeats. We can use this feature to do a vibrato similar to the pitch modulation (vibrato) on the Good Vibes, Wiggler, or Worm.
[strong]Control Settings[/strong]
MODE: MOD
FX LVL: Max Effect
DELAY: Minimum
FEEDBACK: Minimum
Secondary Function DELAY: From about 9:00 to about 12:00
Secondary Function FEEDBACK: From about 9:00 to about 12:00
[strong]Playing Tips[/strong]
Set controls as above. Hold the TAP DIVIDE button for 2 seconds to activate the secondary functions. Start with DELAY (Modulation Speed) at about 12:00. Start with FEEDBACK (Modulation Depth) at about 12:00. Play some notes. Now, sweep the DELAY and FEEDBACK knobs between about 9:00 and 12:00. If you set the speed and depth to about 10:00 and dial in some of the dry signal, you’ll get a pitch modulation based chorus effect.
