I did read the warning on the Voice Box Manual/Specs page. It says not to use any other power supplies but the power supply that comes with the Voice Box, not even another EHX power supply.
    It also says:

    9V Power Jack

“Plug the output of the Voice Box’s supplied AC Adapter into the 9V
power jack located at the top of the Voice Box. The Voice Box requires 9
    – 9.6VDC at 200mA with a center negative plug. The Voice Box accepts
    Boss style AC Adapters”.

This 9- 9.6VDC at 200 mA with center NEGATIVE plug has got me confused as wether I can connect to the VooDoo Lab AC power or not. What do YOU say? Many THANX.

if you’re actually talking about the pedal power AC, that puts out AC voltage, then no it won’t work. the voice box require DC voltage

Ok…thanx guys. So that’s 1 aye and 1 nay. Anyone with an abstention? haha. I didn’t realize how lil’ I knew about power supplies! I just thought AC was house current and DC was anything battery. I’m tryin’ to learn though. I have two new EHX Voice Boxs and I don’t want to waste em.

Specs on the power supply in question:

“The Pedal Power AC provides four isolated outputs, two
9VAC and two selectable between 9 and 12VAC. Each
output is short-circuit protected and completely isolated”.

    Thanx again…

I wasn’t aware there was an AC version. I thought you were just using the term AC as in describing an AC adapter.

No, the Voice Box can’t be used with this particular unit. You’ll need to get one that outputs DC voltage.

picking up from an old topic here, i just got the voice box and want to use my voodoo lab pedal power 4×4 high current option at 400 mA as opposed to 200 mA as required by the voice box. My question is to the tech guys w/ EHX.. what’s the likely long term damage (if any) I’m likely to cause?
    thanks
