I have a new Russian Big Muff on order and I was curious, do they still come in the wooden box? I guess it’s not too important I just thought it would be kind of cool if they still did, I’ve seen a of couple places on the net that say they don’t. Can anyone give me confirmation on this?
I got one a couple days ago and no more wooden box.
Nothing comes in a wooden box anymore. They’ve all gone to cardboard, which is actually made of wood so I guess in a way they still do. Just not in an actual wooden board box.
The wood box helped smooth out the Big Muff distortion slightly. The tone was there and it still had that “woody” tone. You could also use the wood box to elevate the pedal off the floor so you have a slightly higher treble due to the height.
Good Luck!
Well that sucks to hear, but obviously I’m more concerned about what’s in the box than what it’s made of.
I’ll keep that trick in mind Fuzz, sounds legit
You’d be lucky to get a box with a russian muff,
they’re beginning to get harder to find than rocking horse poo,
long live the black muff.
Eric Johnson actually does this :p
my russian muff that i got a year ago didn’t come in the wooden box, was a bit disappointing actually..
