I have or had depending on the outcome of this a big muff with tone and wicker and love(d) it. But a while back when I would step down on the on/off switch it would cut out and I’d have to tap the switch just a little to get it to come back and over time it grew worse and finally effected my clean signal a couple of times. So I decided to open it up and see if I could find any obvious problems. Well I saw none. But that’s to the untrained eye. So I contiued to use it. Then cracked it open again and saw that some
of the wires connecting the on/off switch to the circuit board had detatched. But the on/off switch was also twisted from tighting the outer nut the last time I opened it. So now I don’t know if it’s the switch it’s self or the connecting wires. I plan to resolder the wires but when cutting it to espose more wire it pulls the wire right through. If you’ve seen these connecting wires you’d know that all 6 wires are connected in a sort of tab or strip form. So now I get some small wire to replace the whole thing because they have no such thing at radio shack. But Im soldering this at 3 in the morning. Well I beat the shit out of that circuit board. But I got all the wires in. It still cuts out but now there’s is no clean sound? Is all hope lost or did you just read all that for nothing?
And if it’s gone to my electronic graveyard. Is there any way or place I could just get new guts for the case I already have and painted?
Thank you, the muffless man

yeah Ron can help you out, send him an email! sounds to me like it was a bad switch that needed to be replaced, but then the wires also loosened from opening it a couple times.
