i’ve recently purchased a second hand Big Muff Pi, it worked fine originally and was great but now when i turn off the pedal sometimes the clean signal drops in volume, then i bump the big muff with my foot and it goes back to normal. it’s very frustrating from a live point of view, my signal chain is TU-3 -> OD-3 -> Big Muff Pi -> Widow Maker -> Nano Pog -> Neo Clone -> DD-3 -> Marshall MG100 HDFX. i’ve isolated the big muff and the issue remains so it is the pedal. please help!!
Sounds like it could be a dirty switch. Please contact the service techs at
info@ehx.com
You could also try cleaning the switch with Deoxit spray from the front and back of the switch.
That may be it or not. Not sure what year/model big muff you have.
