I have an original Big Muff Pi that I have owned since about 1970. My problem is the RED Battery lead has become disconnected . The BLACK lead is still attached. Can anybody tell me where to re-connect the RED lead? EH no longer has support for the early Vintage units. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
Kinda depends on which version it is. Can you post a gutshot?
If it has a power supply jack, the red wire would usually go there.
like this for a v3 EH3003

Thank you for your reply. This particular unit it one of the earliest versions, and it does not have a power supply jack.
Then it goes to the middle lug of the switch (providing it’s standard NPN that is: FS36999/2n5133/2n5088 trannies, black wire goes to ground).
You can run it straight to the switch or via that pad on the 3003 board. Doesn’t make any difference (AFAIK).

If it’s a triangle, wire it like this (same deal)

That looks like it should work. Thank you so very much. Have to keep this vintage stuff alive. It’s music history.
