Hello all,
I have a Big Muff Pi currently with 12 other effect pedals. I’m thinking of picking up a Dunlop DC Brick to make my life easier. All pedals use the standard ‘Boss style’ 9v adapter but the Pi uses the 3.5mm. I have two questions:
1. Does anyone know if the brick comes with the correct adapter for the Big Muff or do I need to purchase one separately? If so, is the 1-spot 3.5mm adapter compatible?
2. Can the Big Muff be plugged in to the 18v port option on the DC brick? If not I will need to daisy-chain.
Thank you for any feedback you can give!

Do not put 18v into it. You’ll blow it up.January 3, 2013 at 12:15 pm #118604HuBBie36MemberBlow it up ‘eh! Well now, that could be amusing at the apex of my solo.
I’ll order a 1-Spot adapter and see if it helps. I just don’t have any 18v pedals for the three options on the brick – seems like a waste. Thanks for your help EH Man!

January 3, 2013 at 12:32 pm #118606HuBBie36MemberEH Man – another quick thought. Can you please tell me what you think of my current pedal layout? I have just started incorporating EH effects and want to be sure I have them setup appropriately:
, Boss TU-2, Boss DD-7, Boss NS-2 (Controlling: Boss CE-5, EH Small Stone, EH Pulsar, MD-2, EH Big Muff), Thanks!

“Can I change my DC Brick to all 9V outputs? No.”

Sorry, I can’t offer any advice. I play bass and don’t use any pedals.

Not without actually unsoldering a part and replacing it. They should make it so it’s switchable via a dip switch.

I agree 100%. Thanks for all your input! All the best.
January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm #118620HuBBie36MemberSo – I received the Dunlop DC-Brick and it does come with a cable that fits into the Big Muff, however, the brick instructions say it is not compatible with positive grounded pedals. I took a risk and plugged it into the muff and the red power light came on. Is there any way I can be sure I have a negative ground Big Muff just to be safe? There is nothing in the Big Muff documentation that came with it.
