Hi folks, I have a Big Muff which I use with my strat and blues junior, I had the chance to get a MI Crunch Box tonight, but when I put it in front of the Big Muff the Big Muff didn’t work, when I done it the other way the Crunch Box didn’t work, I was wondering if anybody knew why these 2 pedals won’t work together, It’s a good buy and a shame to let it go but I don’t want to keep unplugging to change between the 2.
by ‘doesn’t work’, do you mean won’t switch from bypass, won’t pass signal, or doesn’t change the sound? Are you using batteries or a powersupply? and the patch cable between the two is a Tip-Sleeve (one black band), not a Tip-Ring-Sleeve (two black bands), right?
Hi Cryabetes, I mean it won’t switch on, neither of the pedals light up if they are 2nd in the chain. I was just using an ordinary lead, think that might be the problem, going to try another lead tomorrow. The Big Muff has a battery (no power supply) and the Crunch Box has a power supply!
Cheers
yeah try a different cable. It sounds like either it’s not staying in all the way or making contact with the ‘ring’ (power) terminal on the pedal.
