Hi…
I recently picked up a used EHX Bassballs. Was curious to know how I can determine if I have a vintage model or the reissue. Unfortunately, it seems the pedal has no markings or indication of a serial number/sticker. Is there any other indicator that might tell me what I have here?
I heard you can read it from the potmeter with some pedals..
Can you post a pic of the circuit board? No need to take it as the back is sufficient.
thanks for the feedback… here are a few pics. crappy quality, but all i can do for now.
From what details I can make out, it looks like a vintage unit.
What’s the model # on the board?
if I’m looking in the correct spot, it looks like it reads EC-4250.
Does this help?
That makes it a reissue. Vintage units would have a model # like EH-xxxx.
DOH! I though maybe I got by with a great trade for a vintage product. I like the bassballs, but would have liked to find that I got a better trade value… haha!
Thanks for your help!
