    I have a short scale bass that I’d like to get a little beefier sounding (strings and pickups aside).

    I was wondering if running it through the bass9 would help/work.

    Any info or experience on that?

    No sorry
    The Bass9 is designed for guitar
    it would just drop everything down an octave, which is super low for a bass.
    I would look at the bass pedals on this site.

    You should be able to EQ a short scale bass to be very fat and full sounding!
    If you want an octave down, check out the POG. Its great for bass.
