My Bass Soul Food has been working fine for weeks, and out of no where it stopped working. It bypasses just fine (True and Buffered) but when I engage the pedal it is incredibly quiet, even on max settings, regardless of the -10db switch position. There is no weird noise, or static, just borderline dead quiet. I purchased it off of an ebay seller supposedly new on May 29th, and of course I didn’t send in the warranty card (I didn’t even have a receipt because everything was online). Has anyone experienced this, or know what it could be?

My new one is working fine and has been for months.

I was hoping to find out if I can fix it myself before sending it in. If anybody has some input I’d appreciate it.

I’ve encountered exactly the same problem. It’s been working (and sounding) great for a couple of weeks and yesterday, all of a sudden, it was almost dead silent when I switched it on. With volume and drive dimed I could barely hear my bass through it when I really dug in. Bypassed everything seemed normal, both Buffered and True Bypass.
No noise, no squealing, nothing more than silence. I took it off the pedal board and tried it separately. Still the same result. And it won’t work with a battery either.
I bought it second hand, so no valid warranty I’m afraid…
What should I look for? Does anybody know where to start?
