My band-mate got this pedal from his friend. To our dismay, it doesn’t seem to be working at all. The light indicates that it’s getting power. However, there seems to be no signal flow coming from the bass to the amp. We tried switching cables, different sockets, etc. I did notice that the light doesn’t turn off/on when the button is clicked. It just consistently stays on. This pedal is supposedly true bypass so the bass signal should come through clean even if the pedal isn’t powered up. Any ideas of what might be wrong with this otherwise awesome pedal?
Bad footswitch?
Possibly. Would that cause the signal break where not even the clean bass is heard through the amp?
Yes. If it’s true bypoass then the signal should pass through when off. If it isn’t, the switch could be bad or…..the output or input jack may be rotated slightly and is shorting out against the chassis.
