Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Audible Memory Toy when switched off
Hi,
I am a thankful user of EHX pedals. I recently bought a Memory Toy, and i enjoy playing around with it. Still i have a problem:
When the pedal is switched off, i still hear its output coming through on an audible level. I know for sure it’s the Memory Toy output because i can turn the ‘feedback’ button all the way up and hear the oscillation going wild. The ‘blend’ button also influences the sound output.
I thought the device was true bypass. Is this usual, has anyone else noticed the same? Or is my device faulty?
Thanks,
Ronald
It is true bypass. That is not normal by any means for the Toy. I would exchange it for another or maybe pop open the pedal and make sure the two boards are connected (seems to be a common problem). You can search and probably find an answer to this somewhere!
Thanks, I’ll give it a go and let you know if it helped.
indeed the two boards were not fully connected! also i found a footpiece that i previously detached from the pedal stuck between the top board and the enclosure
problem is now fixed, thanks a million.
