    Nobody can tell you much w/o a look at the guts. Might be transistor, might be IC. Might actually have an on/off switch instead of Tone Bypass. Post some gut shots and pot codes when you get it.

    You should hope its an IC model, they sound real cool and are becoming more and more scarce on ebay. There’s still a few around obviously but people are keeping them because they are realizing they are hidden gems.
    If its not the IC model it will be the 3034 transistor model which is a super cool sounding muff too, i have one of each and its hard to pick a favorite to be honest.
    So…either way, you have a winner.

    Simon, you’ll want to true bypass it, buy a DPDT and I’ll help you do it. The stock bypass is pretty crappy IMO, I TB’d all my vintage muffs.

    cheers Ned, and believe me for the price I paid I don’t really care which model it is to be honest!! I paid no more than what a used RI would usually go for on ebay :) (maybe even a little less than what a mint used one would fetch) I’ll open it up when it arrives and see what’s what. :thumb:

    So it turns up this morning and it’s nothing like the one in the picture, it’s just a beaten up old standard RI……not f*****g happy. :angry: Waiting to hear back from seller now. 🙄

    he even starts the description by saying “as you can see….” which implies that the one in the pic is the one he’s selling….

    ….what he should have said is “pay no attention to what you see……” lol…the pedal he’s sent doesn’t even have pointer knobs!

    He has another transaction where the item wasn’t as described. Looks like he just used a pic he found somewhere instead of actually photographing his pedal. I’d be all over him on this.

    don’t worry I will be, I’ve sent him a message explaining why I’m not happy and asking what he’s gonna do about it……if I’m not happy with his answer I’ll take whatever action I can.
