Hi,

I just bought a new one of these, and aside from the fact that the 1/4″ output hums it is a great piece of gear. My question is this:

I have a MOTU firewire interface with 2 XLR inputs on the front. Can I run the 12ay7 mic pre XLR out to the MOTU XLR input? Or is this not really running 2 mic pre’s on the same signal chain? Would I be better off getting a XLR to 1/4″ cable and connect to the MOTU that way? Or is there no difference between the two options?
