I’ve recently become obsessed with the DRM series drum machines although they are seemingly insanely expensive whenever I see one online somewhere. I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any other vintage or modern drum machines that are similar. I’ve browsed around eBay, Musicians Friend, and a few other websites without finding anything that really looks similar to one of these machines. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Also, should someone from EHX see this, I’d buy a newer version or a reissue of one of these machines in a heart beat. Maybe one that is condensed down or even one that has a looper thrown in.
My band got around this by finding samples of the DRM16 and DRM32 online. I can’t remember where we found them, or what package, but they’re definitely out there. Once we had the samples, we uploaded them to a looper for live performance or straight into our computer for recording.
