Just about to take everything off my board to replace the patch leads with a new Planet Waves kit.
I thought it was a good time to ask some advice about layout, currently my chain is as follows:
Guitar >
Boss TU-2
Boss CS-2
Jim Dunlop Cry Baby
Ibanez Tube Screamer
Boss CE-3
EHX Wiggler
EHX Small Stone
Boss DD-2
MXR Micro Amp
Boss NF-1 Noise Gate
> Fender Hot Rod
This all works for me but wondered if anyone had any better ideas?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks
Danny
Looks pretty similar to how I would set it up.
Maybe the Micro Amp before the Tube Screamer?
*(awesome board, by the way!)
Thanks, I’ll try the Micro amp up the chain.
Your set up looks very cool. I play a Gretsch and Starts too!
Cheers
Danny
Get an audio loop patcher like the Rocktron PatchMate or Carl Martin Octa-Switch. Gives you a lot more flexibility with your pedalbaord.
The place of the MXR MIcro amp should be chosen for the way you’ll use it. If you’re looking for gain, put it with your dirtboxes, if it’s volume you use it for, put it closer to the end of the chain
