Hello!
Last week I bought 2 EHX effects: Holly Grail (witch original 9V 500 mA adapter) and Small Clone (without adapter). My local EHX dealer doesn’t sell adapter dedicated to Small Clone. So I have some questions:
– Can I run both effects with the adapter dedicated to Holy Grail?
– How many mA they need?
– Is the Holy Grail adapter stabilized?
Thank you for your help!
Yes you can use the Holy Grail Adapter for the Small Clone.
The Small Clone requires (according to EHX) 9V/100mA.
The Holy Grail requires about 9V/220mA.
Ok, thank you. But my question is: can I supply both effects simultaneously with this adapter?
Buy a Diago Powerstation! I use it with my EHX Germanium OD and other pedals simultaneoulsly, and it sounds perfect (noise free)!
Yeah, with a daisy chain. Though that may cause some noise.
Honestly, until you get a nice solution like a Voodoo Labs pedal power 2, the best solution is to use a 1spot (or a diago or a godlyke adapter) for all your analog 9v pedals, and then use the provided power supplies for all your other pedals on a power strip.
