Hi… I just got The Worm (compact version)… and modulation effects sound pretty the same to me (except for the wah, that’s slightly different)… Hey it’s a robust pedal, but I bought it based on the sample by Peter Stroud (and I liked it!!!), I don’t know if it’s just me, but the four effects sound too subtle that I barely notice the difference between each other… Is there any way my pedal it’s not working right? or any mod to enhance maybe the depth of the effects?… I’m using the supplied ac connector…
I’m just plugging my guitar to the pedal, and the pedal to the amp…
Can U give some guide or advice? THANKS!
July 22, 2009 at 2:35 pm #99836kjpiscisMemberIt’s me again… I did some another tests, tried the pedal with a new cable, thowing away the cheapy one that came with my guitar, and certainly improved the sound… It still got that kind of classic, subtle sound to me, but it’s very good to add some modulation… the range and rate knobs are very sensitive, so they have to be dialed carefully to get the desired sound…
I’m happy now!
Peace!!!

July 23, 2009 at 2:15 pm #99877Fender&EHX4everModeratorIf I’m not mistaken, I think the worm’s 4 modes all use the phaser as their engine, which might account for some of the similarity you are hearing between the modes.
I find the tremelo to be very subtle, but the wah, phaser, and vibrato are all quite pronounced for me.July 23, 2009 at 10:07 pm #99896kjpiscisMemberQuote:I’m sure you have, but have you switched the auto/manual sweep?Yes I did… and it works perfectly! adding different “colors” or character to tone as I go clock-wise and viceversa…

the auto/manual sweep switch is very cool too…
