I have some pretty decent Geroge L cables running from guitar to the Voice Box then to my amp. And it has a good amount of noise coming from the amp
If I run a cable from VB to my pedal board it picks up way more noise. And this is the way I would like to use it.
It doesnt seem to matter whether I have it on phantom power or not, or if the mic gain is hi or lo.
Please tell me there is a remedy for this.
Thanx
My goodness, where are all the helpful people? I’ve posted a few other questions and no one bothers to volunteer help anymore. A year or so ago it seems that there was an abundance of people posting helpful suggestions.
I recently got a EHX Voice Box, also. What you describe is very similar to my experience. If I hook up the Voice Box with nothing but the microphone and the Fishman amp, it’s fairly quiet. But if I try to combine the Voice Box with any other effects, it hums like a madman. Specifically, I’m attempting to put a TC Helicon Mic Mechanic right after the Voice Box. I’ve tried various power supplies (including the official EHX AC/DC Adaptor) but the noise only changes–never goes away.
Electro Harmonix: Anybody home? Any ideas or suggestions here? Do you test your pedals in combination with other pedals? A quick search of music forums will show you that this noise problem is typical to the Voice Box.

Same here. Only I can hear noise with only the guitar and amp, no effects at all. I used the power supply that came with it, but I also tried my voodoo labs pedal power and it didnt make any difference. I guess if I dont hear any suggestions that work by Wednesday I’ll just return it. maybe I’ll make a video showing how noisy it is to help other potential buyers, and maybe EHX will redesign it
