Does anyone know about powering a 7.5 V powered pedal (Hum Debugger) with a 9V pedal board power jack?
I dare not try without asking but it sure would be convenient it it was compatible? BTW, just got the Debugger, and gotta say, great pedal, right to the point and works as advertised. I’m going to try to see if it helps w/ ground hum from ABY’ing with two amps.
Also, I have a 2880 that I have been straight plugging in, but am now “tidying-up” and would consider powering the 2880 with a 9V pedal board jack? As far as voltage, the 2880 “is” a 9V, but I’m not very tech savy and don’t know if the 2880 has a unique or incompatible “mha”age or something like that?
I’m still Frick’en ELATED with the 2880, BRILLIANT PEDAL!!!!! Thanks! Easily my favorite piece of gear among many.
I’ll do the YouTube thing, demo’ing it here, soon……
Hum-Debugger ONLY with it`s OWN supply !!!!!
:poke:
Answering an old quote to benefit anybody searching with the same question now or in the future
The main issue here isn’t 7.5v versus 9v, but rather AC versus DC. The Hum Debugger runs off AC while pedal board power is DC. Mix the two and you will be shopping for a new Hum Debugger.
Its AC current not DC like your 9 volt supply
It will not work.
Dont try!
