    I just received the 95000 performance loop laboratory and no matter what I do, the playback of any track I record has distortion. My input levels are set where the red lights do not flash at all. I first had them set where they hardly flashed at all but dropped the level just below that threshold. I’d had the L & R dry stereo outputs set low, medium and high… My master has been set at noon and higher…. Basically, I’ve had every configuration of level adjustments possible and the track plays back with clipping! There is no clipping while I play, just in playback. i’ve adjusted gthe track level playback….

    Please help! This looper has almost every function I could hope for but the loops sound terrible. FYI, I’ve owned every looper on the market and I know my way around gear. Unless I’m missing something, there’s something wrong.

    Do the tracks playback at the same volume level as when you record them?

    How many tracks do you have going before you hear the clipping? For example do you hear clipping immediately after recording just Track 1? Do you hear the clipping after 4 tracks are filled up?

    Does the clipping change at all if you bring down the track faders?

    What are you plugging the output of the 95000 into?

    If you are finding that the Dry level is good, and the CLIP LEDs are not lighting then the TRACK faders should come down about two dashed lines from their maximum setting.

    Here are some suggested starter settings to getting unity gain through the 95000, using the 1/4″ input:

    • Input Gain knob just below 12 o’clock
    • MASTER LVL knob at maximum
    • L & R Dry faders at maximum
    • Track faders about 2 dashed lines below maximum
    • Pan pots at center for mono use or wherever you like them for stereo use. When the Pan pots are not at center it will throw off the gain structure a bit.
    • Use the L output for mono or both L & R outputs for stereo.
