I use the Voodoo Labs “Pedal Power 2” power supply for all my pedals. They offer 100ma outputs at 9 volts. You can flip four of the outputs for up to 12 volts, yet remain at 100ma’s. However, two of their outputs offer up to 200ma when flipped to 12 volts. My new Micro Pog and Ring Thing require up to 200ma at 9 volts. Is it safe… to run these pedals at 12 volts (un-regulated power) to get the 200ma’s that they need? Thanks.
I would never run any pedal at a higher voltage unless it says you can in the manual. You risk destroying your pedal and possibly your power supply.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Spoke to salesman Gray at EH, who spoke to a tech there and he said it was safe for those pedals. So I’m good! Thanks again.
