i really don’t understand.. It sound even if the foil is detached from this part. It is the whole contuor of the keybord that close the circuit?
That outside piece coupled with the individual key is what makes the sound.

The bigger problem now is to replace the keyboard foil. I’m indecied if replace it with a “silver back card” (like the man of the pink EH0400) or clean the original foil with a white oil or something else.February 1, 2010 at 9:01 pm #107028The EH ManModeratorQuote:Thank you EH man, now it is clear.

That helps it make better contact.

Thank you, EH Man !
I just picked up another unit, but the previous owner put fixed resistors in place of the trimpot, making it next to impossible to calibrate the pitch across octaves

BTW, it’s the trim that should go right under the Pitch potentiometer. 5K made the sweep smaller, that is, only the top half of the potentiometer. The signal drops out below about 50%.
So should I try using a trimpot with a lesser value ?

I dunno. 5K is what’s listed on the schematic.
February 26, 2013 at 4:33 am #118784eveready9vMemberHey there, new to the forum, I have one of these EH-400’s(early one no delay etc.) and it works pretty well, but its calibration is all over the place, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the three trim pots do? On the schematic I can only find 2 trim pots listed , both at 5k one for fine tuning and the other for intonation. The third trimpot mine has is 1K and it does some thing to the tuning but I can’t figure out in what order I need to calibrate this at. Any help would be amazing!!!!!!!!! Thanks Barry
