Hi. Just new here. I have an 8 step program and i’m wondering how to use it with both my attack decay and superego plus. With the superego plus it worked but only when using the pitch effect. I dont hear it on the others like phaser, flanger etc. With the attack decay i cant seem to get anything out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and more power to you guys!

    Here are some suggestions:

When testing the range of the 8 Step, we recommend you stop the sequence and then press the RESET footswitch so that step 1 is active. At this point, you can move slider 1 up and down to mimic an expression pedal or a control voltage. If the range seems off at this point, you can change the DEPTH setting on the 8 Step and also adjust the range on the pedal itself, if it allows.

Are you using a TRS or TS cable to connect between the 8 Step and other units?

For the Attack Decay, what is your expression setting controlling? From the factory it controls the VOL knob, so that the expression pedal acts like a Volume pedal but if a plug is inserted into the EXP jack and you turn the VOL knob, it will erase the expression pedal’s control over VOL and you have to start over with a new setting. This is true for any expression setting you make on the Attack Decay. For example, I make an expression setting that increases Attack speed and decreases Decay speed simultaneously. If I then turn the ATTACK knob, expression control over the Attack will disappear while the pedal still controls the Decay speed.

On the Superego Plus, each effect has its own expression setting, which can be saved. It’s possible that the other expression settings are mild or even have been erased in much the same way as on the Attack Decay. You can return an effect to its default expression sweep by first ensuring EFFECT is off (green LED above MOD is off), then press and hold the EFFECT footswitch for 5 seconds. The green LED will first flash slowly then quickly. When it flashes quickly you can release the footswitch and the current effect’s expression setting is now back to the factory default.

Do you have a regular expression setting to test either the Attack Decay or Superego+?
