If i’m using the 8 Step Programmer in CV mode can I split the signal just using a cable splitter? Would the CV signal get halved by being split meaning i’d have to raise the output lever accordingly? Is this just a recipe for frying inputs and outputs?
Yes, you can split the output of the 8 Step when using it as a CV output. The 8 Step’s output is low impedance in CV mode and therefore should have no problem providing the proper signal to two or more other units. Results will vary depending on how many other devices you connect it to and the input impedance on those devices. It’s possible you might need to increase the out level depth, but probably not.
Thank you! That is great news. Would that also work in exp mode if I can find a TRS splitter cable?
