Hi there,
I’ve been using my EHX 45000 a lot in the last few weeks, after a couple years’ absence. I love it! I had an initial issue when I started to use it a few weeks ago with the record getting stuck, but an SD format fixed that issue.
However, in the last couple of days, I’ve noticed an issue with my Track 4. When I have the first 3 tracks full of recordings and I go to record something on Track 4, then, if I try to fade the volume down on this new Track 4 recording, nothing happens: the volume/recording is still there even if the Track 4 fader is down all the way. The faders work on all other tracks. It’s almost as if Track 4 has become a master track that isn’t assigned to a fader or something.
Then, just tonight, I noticed that my left and right pan knob now controls the volume. If I turn that knob all the way to the right, Track 4 is finally muted. So, somehow my L/R pan controls the volume for my Track 4, and only my Track 4. Once again, all other tracks work normally.
Is there a fix for this that I could try? Like I said, I recently formatted my SD card to fix the previous issue (about 2 weeks ago). So the SD card should still be good, I imagine?
My output is going from the headphone output to an amp, just for clarity sake.
Thanks so much in advance for reading this and any potential information!
Could you try using either the 45000’s Left or Right outputs into your amp instead of the Headphone output? Does the problem occur on the L/R outputs as well?
It’s highly unlikely the Track 4 slider problem is related to the SD card.
Hi there,
Sorry for the delay. I didn’t get a chance to test this option until tonight.
Unfortunately, the problem occurs in all out the outputs. It’s almost as if the Track 4 fader just stopped working. Or, probably more accurately, the fader functionality somehow got switched with the Track 4 L/R pan pot. Very curious.
This pedal is definitely out of warranty. So I’m hoping there’s a fix that I can try myself if at all possible.
Thanks so much!
