    Okay, I’m new to the forums so I’m not quite sure where this should go, so if it’s in the wrong section please move it or tell me to repost it!

    So, I’m a recent dad looking for low-budget but great sounding alternatives to my (recently sold) Fender Bassman. This is what I’m thinking…

    GUITAR – ) PEDAL BOARD – ) EHX 44 MAGNUM + 2X12 OR 4X10 CAB

    However, I have some questions…

    1. Would this work as a possible live gig / jam session rig? Does the 44 Magnum have enough power to equal volume with a drummer and bassist?

    2. what’s the clean headroom like on the 44 Magnum? Can it push the speakers pretty hard before clipping?

    3. Can I do a distortion in front of it? My main boxes are a Boss OD-20 Distortion and a Red Llama clone.

    I read some reviews from GuitarWorld and PremierGuitar about the LOUD clean head room on the 22 Caliber, but I wanted to know if any has actually gigged with it and used it with a pedalboard…but, you know, the 44 Magnum seems like it would be LOUDER…
