I just saw a few demos of these amps, and I’m impressed. My big question is : Can I run a POD X3 modeler pedal thru these amps at loud volumes, with out the amps overdrive killing my tones and crushing my signal with bad noise? I use high gain sounds on my POD. Thanks.
Looks like we need to merge threads!
I posted a similar 44 Magnum / 22 Caliber question below: https://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/3728/
Although, in my own research it seems like you would be able to use the 22 Cal as a power-amp for a PODXT if you’re going straight to a Cab.
I found this at the thegearpage.net:

Apparently, some of those cats are using the TECH21 Character Series pedals with the 22 Caliber straight into the board or a cab. Genius!
Big Thanks! As metal guitarist, I’ve had some tone nightmares HAPPEN when using solid state distortions. Some day, I’ll upgrade to a tube amp, but I’m pretty happy with my X3 Live sounds. I use a MG series 8 ohm cab, and thought the .22 cal /44 mag would work out great. I don’t mind P.A.-ing the cab for gigs, but it sucks for rehearsal. When I’ve used other amps with any kind of “slight break-up at higher volumes”, my X3Live would totally crap out. Thanks again for the advice.
