as far as I know the first EHX product (Linear Power Booster) came out in 1969, that would make 2009 Electro Harmonix’s 40th Anniversary…
that’s pretty amazing, I wonder if there are plans for anything special to celebrate this other than me going ‘woo hoo happy birthday!’ :cheese:
October 31, 2008 at 11:08 am #86585Actually, it was 1968 — which also happens to be the 40th anniversary of me.
You want something special? How about an all-new Web site, with amazing user-generated videos, and a forum with awesome mods?

Do we get to call you an old man now? :p
I think the new site and forums are just fine for an anniversary. At least they aren’t putting out some cheesey modified overpriced gear like some companies do for their anniversaries COUGHfenderCOUGH

November 1, 2008 at 11:42 am #86677BillyKParticipantWell, I guess this is my single best qualification to become an Admin on this site – I bought an LPB1 the year it came out. I LOVED my LPB1 and it was the first accessory I ever bought. Wish I still had it! It was all I used between a Les Paul and BF Super Reverb (cranked, of course). Absolutely amazing tone!
Congrats to EHX on the anniversary. Happy to say I was there!!

As Scott said, 1968 was the actual year of EH’s birth. The first product wasn’t the LPB-1 but the Axis fuzz, also sold as the Guild Foxey Lady.

November 2, 2008 at 12:33 am #86696fivewaysMemberI was about to say “how about a axis fuzz/guild foxy lady” reissue for the anniversary….
I’ve always wanted one, the Fripp appeal always draws me toward that pedal. [at least i read he used the 2 knob version….or a buzzaround or triangle muff]
