When connecting the 2880 Multi-track Looper via USB cable to my computer (running Microsoft Windows XP, Version 2002) the 2880 is not recognized. I’ve used a series of different cards, switched out USB cables, and have read just about everything I could on this issue; I cant find a solution. According to the 2880 manual, “The 2880 is automatically recognized by PCs running Windows XP or ME or Macs running OS X or OS 9.2″(Pg. 13).
The way I’ve been getting around this is using a MPC 1000 as a “sort of” card reader. I insert the 2880 CF Card into the MPC then connect that via USB to the computer and everything shows up fine. The manual states that if all your components are right there should be a seamless flow from the external hardware to your comp using USB. I really would love for this function to work and I’ve read previous forums of this exact issue before, but still no real results on how to fix this.
Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated! I think its about time we 2880 users get a solution to this problem.
Thanks everyone!
P.S – I’m not bashing E.H. or anything, and love the 2880 with a passion. Just need this function to work properly.
I’m having the same issue, but on a mac. What’s up with that?
At least it’s not just me. Please, someone post an answer.
