Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › 2880 loading loops, TEMPO.TXT proper BPM playback? And some other questions…
Hi,
Hoping someone can help me out with a few questions on the 2880…
I’m loading prerecorded loops from my computer onto the CF card for the 2880. I can’t seem to figure out what BPM to edit the TEMPO.TXT file in the CF card to make the loops play back at the proper speed in relation to the “tempo” slider. Does anyone have any tips for getting the loops to play back proper speed? Not sure if this info is helpful, but I’ve set the all the loops to the same length (25minutes each)
Does the Tempo slider dictate how long the loops can be, even when playing prerecorded loops i’ve loaded onto the CF card?
When loading a stereo loop onto the 2880, is the “master” spot the only place that will play back wav files in stereo?
Thanks for any tips/ideas you can pass along.
The 2880 does not support external pre-recorded audio file import onto its compact flash card. It only supports reloading audio files that were originally created on the 2880 back onto the CF card.
The TEMPO slider dictates the speed at which the loops playback. The range is generally 60 BPM (bottom of TEMPO slider) to 240 BPM (top of TEMPO slider).
The TRACKM.WAV file is the only stereo audio wav file choice. The other wav files found on the CF card are mono audio files.
