Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › 2880 – hot swapping of CF cards OK ?
Hi,
I’ve the 2880 upcoming and was wondering if it’s OK to leave the 2880 powered-on when swapping CF cards ?
For some Roland gear this is not OK, you have to do a power-cycle – hope this isn’t the case for the 2880.
Thanks!
You can but…it should not be Playing, Recording or Overdubbing when you remove the card. If you do remove the card during Recording or Overdubbing, you could damage the card’s file system where the looper does not properly read or write to the card.
Thanks for the quick response & info, good to hear this is possible!
(Given the one loop-set for the 2880,) this makes life a bit easier.
I’ll take care the machine is in ‘idle’ when changing cards, thanks for the tip.
Best regards
