Hello, I can not run my 2880 in sync with my korg esx-1. But I use the esx with other machines without problems. Start and stop does not work and when I try to make a loop, unable to restart play. This is hell! Help me please!
You’d want to slave the 2880 to the esx1 – basically make sure the esx1 is the master clock (clock = int) and hook the midi out of the esx to the midi in of the 2880. Then press the ext clock button on the 2880.
Doing it so the 2880 is the master is a lot more of a headache due to how it behaves when you’re making a new loop.
In fact i fail use the 2880 in slave. My esx is configured “master”, the clock is set to “int”, the midi channel 1 same on the 2880. When I run play with esx as master and the 2880 ext clock mode, it does not reacted as if he was blocked. It is impossible to play and if I change the tempo on the esx, the 2880 does not answer either.
I tried with my KAOSS PAD3 it’s the same it does not work, yet I use it already in a master for roland mc09 it works … What to do?
could you be a little more specific on which configurations you’ve tried?
like
esx (master) to 2880 (slave) isn’t working for you
KP3 (master) to 2880 isn’t working?
MC09 (master) to 2880 ?
and you do have the “EXT Clock” and “quantize” buttons pressed, right?
I’ve try these combination:
esx (master)+ 2880(slave) ext clock and quantize actived : nothing run
kaoss pad3 (master)+ 2880 (slave) ext clock on and quantize actived : nothing run
tr 505 (master) + 2880 (slave) ext clock on and quantize actived : nothing run
2880 (master) + esx (slave) : no problem
I’ve load the new os, change the midi cable, try all midi channels and nothing change, the problem persist.
Have you an idea of what can i do?
Thank you!
