I have a DMM XO that I put on my new downsized PT jr board. Power supply used is a VL PP2+ with the proper 24v adapter plug. After finishing I noticed the DMM is slightly distorted so I checked the voltage again and it still showed 24v. So for shits and grins I plugged in the 24v adapter that came with the pedal and the distortion went away. I checked the voltage on the OEM EHX 24V adapter and its showing 34.1v. Plugged back in the VLPP2+ at 24v and the slight distortion came back…..OK what voltage do I need to run the pedal at?
According to the instruction sheet, 24vdc is the correct voltage. The EHX adapter voltage will drop under load to 24v. The pedal has an internal voltage regulator so as long as it’s getting 24v in it should be fine. I think it’s regulated down to about 15vdc in the circuit.
