So, currently the only way to clear a loop is to use the menu knob thing. There should really be a way to do this with foot switches.
i have not gotten my updown controller in the mail so i’m not sure how the thing works but maybe holding “up” could clear loop a and holding “down” could clear b?
doesnt really matter how, as long as it could be done with a footswitch. i’d even accept being able to only clear loop B if that makes things simpler. but the loop length could stay and just get replaced with the right length of blank audio maybe?
this feature is pretty important since all playback stops when switching banks.
speaking of which, if playback could continue when switching banks that would be pretty awesome too. but what would play? a? b? both? that’s too complicated to think about.

Please upgrade firmware for easier loop deletion. [/strong]
Suggestions:
– Holding down stop button for longer than 1 second erases both loops.
– Holding down individual loop button for longer than an undo/redo (like 2.5 seconds) erases respective single loop. This other thread deals with the same problem by the way.
February 25, 2016 at 9:53 pm #121310jg1331Memberjust thought i’d add, if you look at the comments on review sites, people are definitely picking up on this lack of simple clearing and the fact that switching banks stops playback.
i realize that all of the buttons on the looper itself are pretty much taken, and adding more long press operations wouldnt be ideal so…
i looked up the manual for the footswitch controller and saw that holding the up/down button switches banks in increments of 10. its a super unnecessary feature. why do i even need to switch banks with a footswitch at all if switching loops stops playback?
but okay, lets say i’m playing live and i know i’m going to switch between loops with the foot controller. i’ll just keep the loops i need close together. no need to move 20 loops forward or backwards.
save the foot controller long press for something useful…. like clearing the loop for example.
I plan on holding out for a bit for a firmware update or even just an announcement of a future update but if that doesn’t happen soon, it’ll probably just go back to the store. such a shame, it’s very nearly an amazing pedal.

Love the Looper for its footprint, weight and functionality. But that is really annoying.
How about just clearing bank A with pushing the left two buttons and bank B with pushing the right two at the same time?
Please someone from EHX react to this. It’s the major criticisms that is posted online. And from a 299€ pedal you can expect more.May 10, 2016 at 6:24 pm #121505kingdMemberI second this request.
Could it be hold stop button down > make button flash > confirm with stop button press to delete?
Simple stop control for individual loops:
Press stop button then press loop to stop:
If Loop is playing: Press Stop button – make light flash – press loop you want to stop
Most of these variations would make this pedal sell like hot cakes .

June 19, 2016 at 5:37 pm #121628cyberdeiParticipantI wonder if it’s possible to order a custom firmware and how much would it cost.
The moment the bank can be cleared with holding the stop foot switch for 1.5 sec I’m buying the pedal, but without this function it’s useless.August 24, 2016 at 8:39 pm #121890kpooleMemberCount me in on this too. A firmware update that solves this issue would make users happy and boost new sales of the unit.
September 20, 2016 at 7:30 pm #122058StoeffMembersame on the 46000. Simply Clear a loop (or a track) is not possible….it’s a shame! If I had known that I would not have bought
September 23, 2016 at 12:18 am #122068BandeetoParticipant22500 needs quick loop clear functionality. It’s years old tech. My old digitech jamman does this. No function is engaged with a long foot pedal press while the loop is stopped. Do this ehx. make me happy. Make my 22500 happy.

As if we were not missing this feature already since YEARS.
October 30, 2016 at 11:18 pm #122192nostaticMemberJust bought a 22500, but this missing feature likely will send it back.
Right now there are two deal-klllers – loop clearing and stopping both rhythm and loops at the same time (without having to hit the rhythm switch). Maybe I’m missing how to do the second, but making a 2 second press on the stop/tap button to clear all current loops in the bank is a no-brainer that is needed.

February 3, 2017 at 1:52 pm #122559Gustavo BarretoMemberDear friends of EHX,
I’m a huge fan of your work and I have many of your products in my pedalboard (Voice-box, B-9 Q-tron, Pulsar, Pitch Fork…)
I was looking for a upgrade to my Ditto Looper and, finally, this week I was so happy with my new 22500,
but, my disappointment came like a meteor when I realized that is not possible to erase a bank using foot,
the only way is bending over and press the function button and the respective banks using hands.
in other words, too complicated to do this action in a live gig situation, sometimes impossible, because I’m singer as well…I’m asking you,
Do you really have intentions to release a mod or an update to Firmware of 22500 to solve this problem?
Please!! I need to know, guys!! Cause, if is not possible or if you do not have the intention to update, I think that I’m need to resale the pedal ( it’s a pity because it’s a great product)If you know how much annoying is this situation, the lack of control to erase a bank using foot.
What’s the point? making a pedal that requires you to bending over and need to use your hands, maybe for use in Studio, but never on live Stage!!sincerily, Gustavo Barreto
