[strong]Who wants easier loop deletion? Like pressing the stop button for 2 seconds? Just second this post below. Please also second jg1331’s thread in suggestions, as that one is more likely to be read by EHX staff.
Edit: Firmware update 28 does not establish a simpler loop deletion. it only fixes bugs. [/strong]
Old post below.
There’s a firmware update for the 22500 now, thank you. But no release notes along with it.
Question to experts: Does this update enable a more simple solution to ERASE LOOPS, like pressing and holding the stop button for more than a second?
Alternatively can i connect a 3-button footswitch like a Digitech FS-3x or FS 300 and find one of those switches to be able to erase a loop or both?I love the features of this looper, unfortunately the current loop deletion procedure renders it almost unusable for me under live circumstances – and i am thinking to sell it again.
Thanx for any insights.

Hi, my name is Roger and i agree with you, is a little complicated to erase the loops, and we should have a way to delete them all.
February 22, 2016 at 3:41 pm #121287jayropeMemberSo we’re two. Who else wishes easier loop deletion?
I entirely stopped using my 22500 now, takes too much time to delete all those jams.
It’s a shame.Bumping this thread.
February 25, 2016 at 6:15 am #121300jg1331MemberI would also like this feature. On my old boss rc3 you could hold a footswitch while the loop was off to clear. currently on the 22500 holding the footswitch does undo /redo which is cool but maybe holding it down two or three times as long could clear the loop?
i’m going to put this int the suggestions board as well.
February 25, 2016 at 11:40 am #121302jayropeMemberGood idea to put this into the suggestions. Can you post the thread link?
February 25, 2016 at 11:52 am #121303jayropeMemberAs there is no release details for the firmware updates i asked the EHX support about this as well as if there is any hope they’d put a simpler loop deletion in the software.
The answer reads as follows:“The 22500 firmware update does not add features, it only fixes bugs.
If you power up your 22500 and it displays the following “-28-” then you do not need the update, you already have it installed on your unit.”February 25, 2016 at 12:16 pm #121306jayropeMemberjg1331 posted another thread about the loop deletion problem in suggestions. Please second that one, too, is read by EHX staff.
June 4, 2016 at 3:25 pm #121593cyberdeiParticipantHi! I’ve registered on this forum to support this thread!
I own boss rc20 and rc30 loopers and I’ve been looking for a more advanced one and the 22500 seem to be everything I need except for the described function.HOLD stop button 1.5 sec to clear the loop from unsaved changes.
If the guys from EH are not planning to fix this obvious overlook
in functionality maybe it is possible to reprogram the firmware. I make 3d graphics but not the programming unfortunatelySeptember 23, 2016 at 12:14 am #122067BandeetoParticipantneeds quicker loop deletion and expanded foot controller functionality.
September 23, 2016 at 4:04 am #122069EHX STAFFKeymasterWe are working on it!
Can not tell you when but we hear you.October 7, 2016 at 9:38 am #122111jayropeMemberQuote:We are working on it!
Can not tell you when but we hear you. That’s nice to hear, but keep in mind we’ve all been screaming since years.

October 29, 2016 at 5:49 pm #122186mweintMemberWaiting for this update before I buy the looper. Any updates on it?
October 30, 2016 at 11:21 pm #122193nostaticMemberJust bought a 22500 but it likely will be returned due to this. Seriously – the current way of erasing loops is a deal-killer for live use unless you increment banks which creates a bunch of other workflow challenges.
2 sec press on stop/tap to erase any recorded loops on the current bank please.
December 19, 2016 at 12:48 am #122366FishHookMemberI just bought this pedal and I have to agree with these guys. Making and deleting loops quickly and on the fly is a must. I’m not a programmer, nor am I an engineer, but it would be nice if maybe you could hold down the tap tempo button for a couple of seconds to clear all loops. Otherwise, thanks for making a great pedal, guys.
