Hi guys
New to the forum, amazing I have a chance to solve this issue here.
I live in Chile and the domestic power supply features here is at 220v AC and 50hz. Recently I bought and old and working POG on Ebay. But I forgot about power adaptor the unit comes with. Does EHX produce adaptors for this unit I can use here (I mean 220v AC input and 18v DC 500mA output)?
I’ve been planning to use a power converter from 220v to 120v but I am not sure the domestic cycles can cause any damage or malfunction to the power adaptor. Also I do not have enough space in my pedal board. The later leads me to the need of a multipower supply pedal so I can get rid of other power adaptors and make some room at the same time.
Do you guys have any experience with this you can help me out?
My options for multi-powering are voodoolab power supplies (ISO-5 maybe).
Many thanks in advanvce,
Mauricio.
Hello Mauricio,
it will be fine with the 50 cycles. In Australia our power is 240Vac 50Hz. I have not owned an original POG, but have owned the Micro POG and POG2 and of course they use the USA adapters and it works fine using a step down transformer. I currently run my Electro-Harmonix QTron on the USA 24Vdc adapter that came with it using a step down transformer. You will be fine doing that.
